What I Play

My Sports

Volleyball

Playing volleyball is more than just a sport; it is my passion. The game’s fast-paced nature challenges me physically and mentally and constantly pushes me to improve my skills. Through hours of practice and teamwork with my coaches and teammates, I have learned the value of hard work, communication, and determination – lessons I know will serve me well on and off the court. My dream is to continue to play the sport in college.

Basketball

Basketball has been a part of my life since I was a child. The thrill of the game, the competition, and the sense of community with my teammates drive me to work harder every day. As an athlete, practicing on the basketball court with my team has taught me the value of dedication and hard work, which has bled into other sports and activities that I pursue. It would bring me great joy to make my mark on the sport at the college level.

Softball

Playing softball has been a significant part of my high school experience. Softball has taught me the importance of discipline, dedication, and teamwork. I have learned how to balance my time and stay focused on my goals through countless hours of practice and games. Playing three sports has allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set and taught me the value of perseverance and grit. I am proud to be part of a team that supports and pushes each other to be our best. Softball has given me a sense of community and belonging that I will always treasure.

Beyond the Ball

Community & Interests

I am incredibly proud of my academic achievements and community involvement through various non-profit organizations, such as Tip of the Mitt Quality Deer Management and Adopt a Highway, volunteering at sports events, and attending Young Life Youth events. The hard work and dedication I’ve put into my studies have given me a sense of accomplishment, confidence, and determination to tackle any challenge that comes my way. Furthermore, I am grateful for the opportunities my education has provided me and the essential skills like leadership, communication, and empathy that I have developed. Working with children is incredibly fulfilling, and I aspire to follow in my father’s footsteps and become an educator with a degree in Special Education. These experiences have taught me the significance of giving back and have inspired me to continue making a positive impact in the world around me.

"Sports teach you character. It teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life."

Billie Jean King

"Volleyball is not just a game, it's an art. You paint the court with your feet, and you create something beautiful with your hands."
